Marconi's Ristorante

Our Story

Marconi’s Ristorante serves traditional Tuscan cuisine and seasonal recipes in a warm, friendly neighborhood atmosphere. Originally located in “The Heart of Chicago” on 24th street and Oakley Ave, Marconi’s was founded in 1959 by Vasco Marconi after he migrated from Ponte Buggianese, a small town in Tuscany, with his wife Liliana and his son John. Growing up in the family business, John moved the restaurant to La Grange in 1997 after his parents’ retirement, bringing the original Marconi recipes and family-owned environment with him. Marconi’s has become a neighborhood staple and is known for its homemade meat ravioli, chicken vesuvio and its regular rotation of seasonal favorites such as pumpkin ravioli, grilled calamari, and ossobuco with saffron risotto. John continues to make the homemade soups, sauces and recipes the same way his father taught him and it’s part of the reason regulars have frequented Marconi’s for decades. Come in and experience a taste of Italy right in downtown La Grange. Buon Appettito!
